Adult Day Service is a health-related and/or social-related program that is maintained and operated during day time hours for adults who do not require 24-hour nursing care or hospitalization, but need more than occasional home service or recreational activities.

Adult Day Service Programs are designed to meet many of the needs of impaired older adults who might benefit due to dementia, physical challenges, or isolation.

The service would be beneficial for individuals who are:

• Age 65 and older (with some exceptions)

• Chronically ill

• Somewhat dependent on others

• Lonely and/or isolated

The goal of Bent County HealthCare Center is to offer an adult day service program to improve the health of at-risk seniors in the community, and provide respite care to their caregivers. We believe the program will ultimately increase the amount of time seniors will be able to remain in their homes and delay nursing home placement.

We will provide a safe environment for all participants with certified professional staff.

It will let caregivers who work, continue to care for a loved one at home, and will provide a much-needed break for the nonworking caregivers.

The hours for the Adult Day Services Program will be Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and closed Holidays.

Full Time and Part Time Slots Available

Adult Day Services will provide the following: planned activities and outings, meals and snacks, assistance with medication administration, routine health screenings, health education, exercise and wellness activities, and transportation to and from the program for those who reside in the Bent county.
